A warm – Welcome to the Team – to Kati Kongi, who has joined the Estonian Team as Product and Project Lead for Standard Applications!
Kati studied Materials Science and Engineering in Tallinn University of Technology, with added modules in Mechanical Engineering to gain a wider spectrum of the industry. She then went on to continue her studies in Tartu and concurrently worked in the Estonian Nanotechnology Competence Center, specializing on R&D activities for developing carbon fiber manufacturing technologies. Feeling the need for a new challenge and environment, Kati subsequently moved to the South of the Netherlands, collaborating with companies in Rotterdam and the Delft area while freelancing as a design engineer for ~1,5 years until returning to Estonia and continuing her career in the energy storage sector. As at Artesyn now, Kati says she has always been a good multi-tasker and problem-solver so feels the most at home in interdisciplinary roles that challenge and grow. Kati has never been good at sitting still, so alongside work and study has engaged in various forms of volunteering. For example working with a Human Rights initiative in Estonia or helping pursue projects in the Netherlands for the mentally disabled, to name a few. She also has years of experience playing and competing in volleyball, has engaged in organizing numerous events and every now and then likes to get her hands dirty in helping to build saunas. To recharge herself she likes to get lost in the nature and play sports.
We are happy to have her on the Team and look forward to navigating together the exciting times ahead for Artesyn and the industry globally!
